The Kimberley Expedition - 10 - Itinerary
DAY 1 SAT
DAY 1 SAT
DEPART BROOME for a sunset cruise along Cable Beach.
DAY 2 SUN
Wake up to your first shore trip and swim at the pristine Silica Beach. After lunch we then head to Coppermine Creek for an explore and a fish and hopefully a feed of fresh oysters!
Spend the night anchored at silver gull creek.
DAY 3 MON
Steam to the spectacular Montgomery Reef
From Montgomery Reef we steam to Langgi to visit the petrified warriors. We then continue steaming to our overnight anchorage at Deception Bay. Here we will go for a sunset fish or a cruise
DAY 4 TUE
Steam past Kuri Bay to Sheep Island and visit the first attempted settlement site for the Kimberley.
Arrive at Careening Bay to see HMC Mermaid boab tree.
Steam to the Hunter River and anchor overnight in Porosus Creek. Set some crab pots then go for an explore.
(This is as far north as we will go)
DAY 5 WED
Steam up the magnificent Prince Regent River past Mt Trafalgar and Mt Waterloo and anchor at Camp Creek where we will spend the afternoon swimming and exploring the waterfalls.
Head out for a sunset fish.
DAY 6 THURS
Cruise up to the spectacular Kings Cascade. Hike to the top of the falls and go for another fresh water swim.
Leave the Prince Regent River for our overnight anchorage at Rothsay Waters.
DAY 7 FRI
Early morning cruise or fish at Rothsay Waters
Arrive at our overnight anchorage Sampsons Inlet. Spend the afternoon exploring, fishing and visiting some Aboriginal rock art.
DAY 8 SAT
We head to Red Cone Creek where we will spend the afternoon relaxing under Ruby Falls, fishing and exploring.
DAY 9 SUN
Start the day with an early morning walk up to Raft Point to see some ancient Aboriginal rock art. We then steam to Horizontal Waterfalls for our overnight anchorage. Here you can enjoy a thrill ride through the Horizontal Falls and explore the hidden valley.
DAY 10 MON
Steam to Silver Gull Creek and meet the locals Phil and Marion. Explore their tropical oasis and enjoy a drink at the Squatters Arms Yacht Club as featured in the West Australian!
Enjoy a last swim at Crocodile Creek before leaving for an overnight steam Back to Broome.
DAY 11 TUES
Arrive in Broome and depart C-Quest
